Screamfest First Wave Lineup Includes LEATHERFACE And TRAGEDY GIRLS
Screamfest is now in its 17th year of existence, marking it as America’s longest running horror film fest. This year, they’re welcoming actor Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings, Pet) as the festival’s ambassador, along with a host of cool sounding titles, including Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo’s Texas Chain Saw prequel, Leatherface (which this writer is now foaming at the mouth to see).

Since missing Tragedy Girls at SXSW (where the horror/comedy got solid reviews), it’s high on my “to see” list. Screamfest runs from Oct. 10 – 19 at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Tickets and badges are currently on sale to the public at the fest’s site.
