The 4K Restoration Of CLOSE ENCOUNTERS Hits The Alamo Drafthouse Tomorrow!

The Alamo Drafthouse and SYFY want to take you to the stars.

Tomorrow, the Alamo Drafthouse - in association with SYFY - is proud to be screening the all-new 4K restoration of Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. The film will have never looked this sharp and awe-inspiring, this colorful and alive.

This is important. This means something.

These screenings aren't just limited to one city, either: a slew of Drafthouse locations will be screening the 4K restoration of Close Encounters throughout the day, and some participating locations will even have a mashed potato-sculpting contest beforehand!

Here's a list of participating Drafthouse locations:

Look, we don't want to get pushy, but seeing Close Encounters Of The Third Kind on a giant screen with a big, booming sound system is a mandatory experience for every film lover, and these screenings (which, again, are really upping the ante via that 4K restoration) are a perfect opportunity to check that item off your bucket list. We cannot recommend this one enough, and hope you'll all join us in seeing Spielberg's classic on the big screen tomorrow.

And, hey, if you're feeling really adventurous, don't forget: this Saturday, BMD Events is bringing you Close Encounters Of The Third Kind at Devil's Tower. That's right: we're screening this same 4K restoration in Wyoming, out at the actual location from Spielberg's film, and we're accompanying the whole darn thing with food, drinks, drones, and other surprises! You can get more details - and tickets! - at this link right now.

Y'all think you're gonna go? Which location are you headed to? What's your strategy for winning the mashed potato-sculpting contest? Let us know in the comments section below.
