Listen To Trent Reznor’s Cover Of The HALLOWEEN Theme Right Here

In which Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross deliver an amazing John Carpenter cover.

Yesterday we learned that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (the dynamic, Oscar-winning duo who scored David Fincher's The Social Network and Gone Girl) were on the verge of releasing a surprise cover of John Carpenter's Halloween theme.

Late last night, that cover dropped, and - as expected - it's fantastic.

The track, which can be heard in the video above, can be acquired via Amazon or Apple Music, all for the wildly reasonable price of just ninety-nine cents. Those with a taste for physical media are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled: given that Sacred Bones (who released the track in conjunction with Reznor's Null Corporation) is a vinyl-heavy outfit, we wouldn't be surprised to see this track made available on a 7" pressing sometime in the near future.

What do you folks think? We're loving what Reznor and Ross have done with this, and are now daydreaming about a scenario wherein the pair team up with Carpenter to take on the soundtrack for David Gordon Green and Danny McBride's forthcoming Halloween (pseudo)sequel.
