Casey Affleck To Star In Super Secret Horror Series From Alfonso Cuarón
There's reportedly a top secret horror project being shopped around to premium cable networks that is so hush hush all we know is that it's reportedly scary, stars Casey Affleck, will be written/directed by Alfonso Cuarón, and executive produced by the two main creatives. It's being represented by Anonymous Content, which is kind of ironic, given the details we currently have.
On the real - Cuarón definitely took his time finding a follow-up project to the ambitous and divisive Gravity, settling on a small-scale family drama set and shot in Mexico titled Roma. That movie has been in production for a while now, as Cuarón's noted that he requires a lengthy post period to perfect the picture's specific visual idiosyncracies. Some speculate that it won't even be released until next Awards Season, so don't hold your breath. The visionary filmmaker ventured onto the small screen recently with the short-lived 2014 series Believe, for which he acted as creator and helmed the pilot.
Affleck, on the other hand, has never been in a television series before. He recently shot a few episodes for a limited HBO series that follows the legendary pioneer explorers Lewis & Clark, but that production was recently shut down due to creative issues and is currently being revamped.
No word on when this new horror project will shoot, as both creatives are obviously busy boys, but when we know more, you'll know, too.
