Please Enjoy These Seven New Clips From JUSTICE LEAGUE
It feels like Justice League's been "coming soon" for years now, but we're finally in the home stretch: on November 17th, Warner Bros. will unleash Zack Snyder's (and, yes, Joss Whedon's) latest entry in the DC Universe franchise and...well, who knows? Could be a Batman V. Superman-level non-starter, could be further course-correction a la this year's Wonder Woman. The film screened for some critics just last week, but apparently all reactions are embargoed for the forseeable future.
At any rate, with the film's arrival rapidly approaching, the Justice League marketing campaign is certain to ramp up in the days ahead. Case in point: today, WB is kicking off the week with a parade of new clips. Give these a whirl and see what you think.
If it weren't already evident from the trailers, these clips make it abundantly clear that Justice League's aiming for a different tone: there are actual jokes here, some honest-to-god banter. The film also looks a bit more colorful than some of its DCU predecessors. This footage is giving me a "Hey, we want this one to be fun!" vibe, in other words, and that's definitely a step in the right direction.
Will WB stick the landing, or will Justice League be more of the same? Who'll emerge as the MVP? Will each and every complaint leveled at this film send a certain segment of Twitter into a hysterical frenzy? We won't have to wait much longer to find out the answers to all of these questions, and many others.
