Margot Robbie Says There’s Yet Another HARLEY QUINN Movie In Development

Look, we have no idea what's going on here.

In a new interview with MTV News, I, Tonya and Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie has muddied the waters on precisely how many Harley Quinn movies are currently being developed by Warner Bros. We already knew about Suicide Squad 2, the Untitled Joker/Harley Movie, and Gotham City Sirens, but now Robbie says an entirely new spin-off is being planned. A fourth Harley Quinn project, in other words.

Let's go to the tape. Robbie says (via Vulture):

“It’s hard to kind of talk about because all this stuff is under lock and key, but I’ve been working on a separate spinoff for Harley.”

Not Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2, or the Untitled Joker/Harley Movie?

Robbie specified the movie she’s talking about, which she has apparently been working on for two years, is “a totally separate one.”

“She needs her girlfriends,” added Robbie. “She needs other girls around her.”

OK, see, that sounds a lot like Gotham City Sirens, right? Is this another female-centric Harley Quinn movie? A would-be Gotham City Sirens sequel? Is Warner Bros. just gonna keep developing Harley Quinn spin-offs until one of them actually gets made? At what point are we spreading this character (and, even more importantly, the actress playing her) too thin? Are they simply trying to capitalize on the fact that Robbie might soon be an Oscar nominee (or, better yet, an Oscar winner)? So many questions.

Here's footage of Robbie explaining that, yes, this is an entirely separate Harley Quinn movie than any of the Harley Quinn projects that have already been announced, just in case you're worried we're misinterpreting things here:

We have no idea what to think. You folks have any ideas?

Gotham City Sirens, the Untitled Joker/Harley Movie, Suicide Squad 2, and Another Untitled Harley Quinn Movie Involving Harley's Girls will hit theaters on (TBD).
