Woody Harrelson Might Also Be In This Weird Ass VENOM Movie

OK, you have our attention now, Ruben Fleischer.

Venom is shaping up to be one weird ass movie.

Just yesterday, we brought you the reported cosmic storylines that Ruben Fleischer's cinematic adaptation is going to be following. Now, Woody Harrelson is in talks to join a cast that involves Tom Hardy (as the titular parasitic anti-hero), Riz Ahmed (who may be playing Cletus Cassidy, a/k/a Carnage), Michelle Williams (Manchester By the Sea), and Jenny Slate (Obvious Child). His character is only currently being described as a "henchman", which begs the question: whose muscle?

That's a stacked, eclectic ensemble; one that makes you wonder how good Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinker's script really is. There's gotta be something in those pages that's catching the eye of all this top tier talent.

Harrelson hasn't "offically" signed on as of yet, but we'll keep you updated as this story develops. However, Fleischer's already done great work with Woody before (in Zombieland), so this is probably a sure thing.

Venom hits theaters October 5th, 2018.
