Congratulations To The FLASH Movie On Maybe Still Getting Made
As you've surely noticed, getting a solo Flash movie off the ground has proven more difficult than anticipated for the good folks at Warner Bros. (indeed, directors and writers have joined and left this project at a rate we might normally associate with the Crow reboot, or the Gambit movie), but today it looks like the film is finally back on track.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (writers of Spider-Man: Homecoming and co-directors of the 2015 Vacation remake) have officially entered talks to direct the project, a move which seems to suggest that the Flash solo movie is still happening.
Word on the street is, The Flash solo movie is actually a Flashpoint movie, with Ezra Miller returning in the titular role following his work in last year's Justice League. Does the hiring of Daley and Goldstein suggest that the film might be a more comedic, upbeat affair (relative to the other DCU movies)? We think so. It'd certainly make sense, given how Miller's played the character thus far.
What do you folks think? Are you into this pairing? Not so much? Are you simply excited that a Flash movie's still happening? Sound off in the comments below.
