The SXSW Poster For THE RANGER Gives You Another Reason To Fear The Forest

The punk rock survival horror picture looks like it should be added to your "must see" list.

The synopsis for the SXSW Midnighter The Ranger makes it sound right up BMD's alley:

"When Chelsea and her friends get in trouble with the cops, they flee the city and go on the run. Fueled by a hallucinogenic drug called Echo, they hope to lay low-and get high-in an old family hideout in the woods. But Chelsea's got reservations about going back to nature and secrets she's not sharing with her friends. When a shot rings out, her past comes crashing back, and the punks find themselves pitted against the local authority- an unhinged park ranger with an axe to grind."

Now, the movie's got a poster ahead of its World Premiere on Monday, March 12th, and it's super creepy. Take a look:

I know Marisa is super into seeing this one, so expect a review from her following the movie's debut. Larry Fessenden's Glass Eye Pix helped produce the lo-fi schocker, which is always a good sign when we're talking about horror movies. Stay tuned!
