If you've ever been to an Alamo Drafthouse, you've seen an Alamo Drafthouse pre-show. And if you've ever seen an Alamo Drafthouse pre-show, you know that our video department is absolutely killer, producing bizarro montages, dredging up clips of now-famous celebrities at the earliest stages of their careers (this is, in fact, how this unfortunate commercial first came onto my radar), and providing fun and interesting context for whatever movie's about to screen. 

If you've been to a Drafthouse recently, you may have noticed that these pre-shows are increasingly Birth.Movies.Death. branded. We've been working behind the scenes with the Drafthouse's awesome Video Department to help curate pre-show material, and the results so far have been spectacular, and we're excited to announce that we'll be featuring some of these clips on the site going forward. Why keep all this stuff offline when it's cool enough to share with everyone?

Most of these clips will feature input from your favorite BMD contributors, while others will be produced entirely in-house, among the Video Department staff - like the video below, for instance, which our awesome team put together in support of Wes Anderson's Isle Of Dogs. For Anderson veterans and newcomers alike, this clip really gets to the heart of what makes each Anderson joint tick ... and why we usually fall in love with them.
