The New VENOM Trailer Is Both Here And Delightfully Stupid

Well, it’s here. A Venom trailer that actually features Venom hit CinemaCon earlier tonight. Then it was leaked and everyone got to make fun of Venom earlier than expected. Now the legit trailer is online for all your moms and dads on Facebook to take a shot:

Look. There is no way this movie is going to be any good. But I kind of like how bad it looks. There are choices on display here that indicate a for real fun time at the movies independent of quality. Just the way Jenny Slate pronounces “Symbiote” is pretty special.

I also love that Venom actually talks to Tom Hardy. It’s convenient since the human half of this marriage appears to struggle with the English language overall. Hardy is known for his interesting voices, and this one sounds like he grabbed out of context words from other conversations and glued them together into sentences. I am here for it.
