Andy Bean To Take A Bath In IT: CHAPTER 2

The Losers Club is almost complete, as the back half finds its adult Stan Uris.

The adult iteration of the Losers Club is almost complete for IT: Chapter 2. Thus far, we've got:

  • Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh
  • Bill Hader as Richie Tozier
  • James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough
  • James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak

Now, Variety is reporting that Andy Bean - of HBO's Here and Now and Starz's Power - will be joining the gang as an all-growed-up Stan Uris. For folks familiar with the book, Stan's casting is kind of a weird proposition, as the character suffers a rather sad fate that hangs over the rest of his old pals like a black cloud for the rest of the picture. In the mini-series iteration of Stephen King's epic bestseller, Stan's glorified cameo was played by Richard Masur.

With this bit out of the way, the only Keds left to fill belong to Mike Hanlon and Ben Hanscom, both of whom play vital roles in the remaining narrative. Who do you think they should get to play those parts? (Psst: Lakeith Stanfield would make a pretty good Mike.

Production on IT: Chapter 2 is set to start this summer, with Andy Muschietti back in the director's chair, Gary Dauberman penning the script, and Bill Skarsgard putting Dat Boi Pennywise's clown make-up back on. We've got a lot of questions regarding how they're going to handle this portion of the adaptation, as some weird, wild, and problematic shit goes down.

Guess we'll have to wait until September 9th, 2019 to find out just how the Losers Club's last stand against Bob Gray is handled on screen.
