POOR BOY, That Michael Shannon Rodeo Clown Movie, Gets A Trailer
There are some actors the internet just goes gaga for, so much so that it threatens to make people tired of seeing them all over the damn place. I’m about there with Jeff Goldblum, for instance. And yet, I don’t know if I’ll ever get bored with Michael Shannon stuff.
Case in point, here is a trailer for Poor Boy, which could very easily be a horrible movie. Nevertheless, it has my attention solely for featuring a sad Michael Shannon as a rodeo clown. That’s all it takes, folks. Check it out:
The trailer doesn’t tell us much in the way of story, but here is a synopsis:
Two misfit brothers hustle cash and chase dreams in the desert. When a mysterious woman threatens to repo their beloved houseboat the brothers cook up an epic con to finally leave their dusty town and sail off on a beam of sunshine to California.
Again, I’m not sure the non-Michael Shannon parts of this film look all that great. I also don’t care. I simply cannot say no to what Shannon is up to here, no matter how hard I try. I hope the rest of you have more strength.
