Badasses Flock Toward Eddie Murphy’s Rudy Ray Moore Biopic
This already sounded good. Now it’s sounding great.
Last week, news hit that none other than Eddie Murphy was starring in a Rudy Ray Moore biopic for Netflix to be directed by Craig Brewer and written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. That shit is plenty to get me excited, but of course it’s getting even better than that.
First off, the film has a name now: Dolemite is My Name! I am totally in love with that title. It’s perfect.
Also perfect is some casting coming to us from THR. Apparently Wesley Snipes has joined as D’Urville Martin, director of Dolemite. Joining him will also be Craig Robinson, Mike Epps Tituss Burgess and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Now that’s a cast. And I’m sure more are on the way. This is a movie we’re all going to have eyes on as it progresses through production.
