New AQUAMAN Poster is Overflowing With Big Trident Energy

And we're thankful for it.

Hey, look, it's a brand-new poster for James Wan's Aquaman!

This is a solid one-sheet! It's not overstuffed with Photoshopped heads. Jason Momoa looks like a boss (consider how improved this image is from that first Aquaman image we saw, pre-Justice League, the one where Aquaman looked more like a roided-out Rob Zombie). Hell, it's even got sharks on it. Who doesn't love sharks? Communists, that's who.

Word on the street has Aquaman pegged as an adventure film first and foremost, something more in the vein of Indiana Jones than, y'know, another grimdark action thriller. We'll get a better look soon enough: we're expecting the film's very first trailer to arrive later this week as part of SDCC 2018, and you can rest assured we'll have that footage for you as soon as it's available online.

In the meantime, what do you folks think? Dig this poster as much as we do? Not so much? Are you mostly unmoved by it because, at the end of the day, it's really just a photo of Jason Momoa surrounded by a bunch of fish? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for more as the week progresses.

Aquaman hits theaters on December 21st.
