SDCC 2018: Here’s A Trio Of GLASS Teasers

Ahead of Friday's trailer, these three super dudes won't stop breaking windows.

We can't just have trailers anymore. We get teasers for teasers for possible release dates of trailers now...and then the trailer.

This isn't the start of a rant or anything. I'm just fascinated by watching studios evolve and milk marketing for movies. The latest example comes from M. Night Shyamalan's Glass, which sees him adding a third chapter to his own personal superhero trilogy (which began with Unbreakable and then continued via the surprise ending of Split). The newest entry sees him bringing Bruce Willis' David Dunn, James McAvoy's The Horde, and Sam Jackson's Elijah "Mr. Glass" Price together for something like a show down.

Ahead of this Friday's first full trailer, Blumhouse and Universal have now dropped a triptych of teasers, each devoted to one of the movie's three main characters.

Check out this one for Dunn (our indestructible, water-fearing hero):

...and now here's McAvoy's abductor of women, The Horde (a/k/a Beast)...

...before finishing with Jackson's Elijah "They Called Me Mr. Glass" Price.

These misfits are joined by Sarah Paulson (The Post, and basically every other interesting movie coming out right now) as a shrink who specializes in “individuals who believe they are superheroes”, who's treating this touched trio at a mental hospital. Also starring in the film is Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the lone survivor of The Horde's exploits (who's actually met the infamous "Beast" and lived), reprising her role from Split. Unbreakable’s Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard are also showing up, returning as Dunn's son and Price's mother, respectively.

Evan's gonna have a lot more for you guys straight from Hall H on Friday, to whet your appetite for the next six or so months until Glass drops into theaters January 18th, 2019. Let's just hope these guys stop breaking windows after that.
