SDCC 2018: At Long Last, The First Trailer For GLASS Is Here

In which M. Night Shyamalan's UNBREAKABLE trilogy comes to a close.

The Universal panel is underway at SDCC 2018, and M. Night Shyamalan and company were the first onstage to present the latest on Glass, the trilogy-capping chapter to the trilogy started with Shyamalan's 2000 film, Unbreakable.

Including - you guessed it - the film's very first trailer.

The twist at the end of M. Night Shyamalan's Split, wherein we learned that we'd actually been watching a stealth sequel to Unbreakable, may just be the finest twist in Shyamalan's twist-heavy career. Fans of that first film have been clamoring for information about Glass ever since it was announced, and now that the trailer's finally upon us: it looks pretty goddamn great.

As you can see, it appears that David Dunn (Bruce Willis), Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson) and Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy) have all somehow ended up in the care of one Dr. Staple (Sarah Paulson). How they got there and what happens next will be something we'll probably not be clear on until Glass arrives early next year, but for now: looks like there's gonna be quite a bit of conflict between these characters, and we are here for it.

What do you folks make of this footage? Are you as into it as we are? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for more on Glass (including a report from our own Evan Saathoff, currently toiling away in the Hall H trenches) in the very near future.

Glass lands in theaters on January 18th, 2019.
