The First Teaser For Harmony Korine’s THE BEACH BUM Just Arrived

Today is a blessed day, as the first (very red-band) trailer for Harmony Korine's The Beach Bum has arrived. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron and Martin Lawrence, the film "follows the hilarious misadventures of Moondog (McConaughey), a rebellious rogue who always lives life by his own rules."
Does right what it says on the tin.
Well, speaking as someone who loved Korine's Spring Breakers (note: if someone tells you they didn't love Spring Breakers, please apply a generous amount of side-eye in all future conversations with said person) and loves seeing Matthew McConaughey in full DGAF mode, this looks very entertaining, indeed. It's hard to tell what story this movie is telling, exactly - the trailer's light on details, focusing more on tone and McConaughey's general hijinks rather than plot - but what's here looks fun, weird, and unusual. Sold.
It's gonna be a while before The Beach Bum hits theaters (it won't get here until March of next year), but we're excited to learn more about this one, and sincerely hope it delivers in the exact same way that Spring Breakers did back in 2012. Stay tuned for further updates as they become available.
The Beach Bum crashes into theaters on March 22nd, 2019.
