Vera Farmiga And Patrick Wilson Will Return For ANNABELLE 3: THE LEGEND OF CURLY’S GOLD*
Perhaps you thought, after an extended appearance in The Conjuring and two follow-up spin-offs, that the Conjuring Extended Universe had said all it had to say about Annabelle, the demonic little doll with a taste for murderous mischief.
Turns out, this was a dumb think to think: we're nowhere near done with Annabelle, and are in fact getting a third feature-length spin-off starring everyone's favorite haunted doll. And guess what? According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Conjuring stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson have been roped into the endeavor, both of them reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren: Paranormal Investigators.
What's Annabelle up to this time? You'll never guess:
"The untitled third Annabelle movie is being written and directed by Gary Dauberman, who penned the previous two installments. The film will once again center on the demonically possessed doll Annabelle, who has been placed by the Warrens in a location they believe she can no longer wreak havoc: their Artifacts Room. Soon the doll soon sets its sights on their 10-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace)."
So, it's Annabelle fucking with a little kid, only this time it's personal.
Your mileage will vary as to whether or not this is an exciting idea. Admittedly, Farmiga and Wilson's presence will elevate things a bit, but after multiple, very same-y movies it kinda seems like the Annabelle scare-well may be running dry.
