EXCLUSIVE: No One’s Coming To Save You In Daniel Danger’s Latest NIN Poster
Last month, we had the honor of revealing a new set of Nine Inch Nails gig posters designed by the great Daniel Danger, for a pair of tour dates the band was playing in Georgia. You looked upon them and saw that they were good, but perhaps you thought that was the end of the Danger/NIN collaborations for a while.
You thought wrong.
Today, we're thrilled to unveil a brand-new Danger/NIN piece, one which will be on sale - in both a regular edition and a fancy-pants metallic edition - at the band's show in Boston, MA, tomorrow night. As with Danger's previous NIN prints, this one (and an art-print edition of the piece) will also be available in his online store sometime after the show.
Let's take a look.

Here's Danger on the thought process that went into this one:
"Ambulances have been a reoccurring theme in my work over the last 15 years; my house and studio are filled with piles of vintage ambulance toys I've collected. They roll across my trucks dashboard, they're on my desk in front of me, they're referenced in songs I've written, prints I've drawn, and exist within a handful of rough memories. Frankly, I surround myself with them but I could barely explain why. We're drawn to what we're drawn to and that's really that. To me, they represent urgency, panic, fear, a kinetic energy screaming through the night whipping lights across everything it passes. NIN is a band about that same panic and urgency, pulsing synth alarms, intrusive lighting, left abandoned and helpless. So, this scene of questionable causes just seemed right. Who rescues the ambulance?"

Obviously, as a NIN mega-nerd, I'm partial to the version of the piece with the band's logo on it, but the illustration's undeniably excellent on both; something about the idea of a disintegrating ambulance really strikes a chord with me ("Help is on the way! Well, OK, maybe not!" feels very of the moment, don't ya think?).
As it says above: the NIN version of the print (both regular and metallic versions) will be available for purchase at the band's show tomorrow night in Boston, MA. A limited number of each will also be available in Danger's online store after the show, alongside 80 copies of the art-print version. Those of you who went after Danger's previous NIN posters probably don't need to be told that these will go very, very quickly, so if you're interested in picking one up...better keep a tab open to this page.
