Caution: This Trailer For Fantastic Fest Selection PIERCING Is Spoilery AF

The first spot for Nicolas Pesce's latest gives away the whole enchilada.

Nicolas Pesce's Piercing is a weird goddamn movie.

An adaptation of Audition author Ryû Murakami's tale, Piercing is about a seemingly normal husband and father (Christopher Abbott) who meticulously plans the murder of a call girl (Mia Wasikowska) in a ritzy hotel. Things, as they say, do not go as planned. The latest from the Eyes of My Mother writer/director is stylish and totally going for a neo giallo feel (to the point of needle-dropping the title theme from Dario Argento's Deep Red into the mix) and that's certainly going to appeal to particular tastes. The movie's been devisive at both Sundance and Fantastic Fest, but is definitely worth checking out for the craft and performances on display.

Now, there's a trailer for Piercing, which gives you a great idea of what to expect from Pesce's picture, by essentially giving the whole stinking movie away. So, proceed with caution, as all the strangeness is contained within.

Take a look:

Yup, that's the movie alright. There's really not a whole lot else to say. You're either going to be into that kinky shit, or you're not. Make the call.

Piercing opens in select theaters and on VOD February 1st, 2019.
