The First MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL Trailer Just Landed

Well THIS looks like a lot of fun.

The powers that be have spent the past half decade trying to get a new Men In Black off the ground, with the apparent goal of relaunching the franchise without original stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. For a while there, it looked like the series would cross over with the 21 Jump Street franchise, with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum stepping into the Ray-Bans and jet-black suits, but - for whatever reason - that version of the project never came together.

Instead, we've been given Men In Black International, with F. Gary Gray directing noted badasses Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth (along with Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Rebecca Ferguson and, in what appears to be a voice-only role, Kumail Nanjiani). Can't be mad about that!

This, obviously, is the first Men In Black International trailer, and it looks big, fun, and highly watchable. It appears we'll be getting another plot centered around saving the planet from an extraterrestrial threat, but that's par for the course with this franchise, and honestly: with a cast like this in place, we'd be happy to watch them sit in a circle, reading the phone book.

What do you folks think? Into this trailer? Not so much? Got anything to add? Hit the comments below to do so at your leisure, and stay tuned for more on Men In Black International as we close in on the film's June 14th, 2019 arrival in theaters.
