Al Pacino Wants To Hunt Nazis For Jordan Peele

On a TV show. Not in real life. As far as we know.

We already knew that Jordan Peele was executive producing The Hunt, a "Nazi hunter" series, for Amazon. But, honestly, with everything else that's going on in Peele's world right now (a Twilight Zone reboot, the heavily buzzed-about Us), we'd sorta forgotten that show was happening. That will not be happening again.

According to Deadline, none other than Al Pacino is close to signing on to make his episodic television debut in Peele's series, which the trade describes thusly:

"The Hunt follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans."

The series, which is being produced via Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, will star Logan Lerman as one of the Hunters, while Pacino (assuming he signs on the dotted line) will be playing the Nazi hunter who mentors him. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (The Current War) is onboard to direct.

So this is an interesting development! Pacino making the move to streaming, playing a late 1970's Nazi hunter and bossing Logan Lerman around? And there are hundreds of Nazis for these guys to track down and kill? I require no further information. My body is ready to binge.

Nothing further to report at this time, but rest assured we're dying to learn more and will be keeping a close eye on The Hunt as it works its way through production. In the meantime: what kind of look are we expecting Pacino to have on this show? (You thinking mutton chops? Because I'm thinking mutton chops.) Make your guesses - and, indeed, provide artist's renderings, if possible! - in the comments section we have helpfully provided for you below.
