The JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 Trailer Is Here To Shoot You In The Face

Our bodies, and faces, are ready.

What a gift the John Wick franchise is.

When the first film arrived, back in 2014, it sorta came outta nowhere: with very little fanfare, we were invited to watch a new movie where Keanu Reeves sought much revenge against the mobsters who murdered his dog, and it turned out to be one of the most satisfying action spectacles of the decade. When John Wick: Chapter 2 arrived three years later, there was the sense that we might already be going to the well too many times - we'd know what to expect this time around. Maybe the gimmick of that many headshots in a single movie wouldn't retain any of its flavor. Maybe they'd rest on their laurels, turn in something half-assed.

Hahaha, nope! John Wick: Chapter 2 was amazing. Depending on the day, I might even tell you that I prefer it to the original. Everything was heightened in the sequel, from the weirdo world-building to the size of the set pieces to, yes, the truly insane number of headshots (I once attempted to count them and was eventually forced to give up). We added "Diminishing creative returns" to the list of things John Wick has killed.

And now we have John Wick: Chapter 3 to look forward to.

This trailer has EVERYTHING: John Wick running in the rain, John Wick having a device removed from his neck, John Wick interacting with Anjelica Huston, John Wick riding a horse and shooting a man in the face while doing it, John Wick marching up a sand dune, John Wick killing a guy with a fucking book. If you're not immediately hyped about this, I'm not even sure what to tell you. This looks amazing and we will be there, day one, to pay our respects.

What do you folks think? Feeling this as much as we are? Not so much? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for more as we close in on John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum's May 17th release date.
