New Details Emerge Regarding Disney’s LOKI Streaming Series

According to a new post over at The Hollywood Reporter, Disney+'s Loki streaming series now has a guiding voice: Michael Waldon, who previously wrote and produced for Rick & Morty and is currently developing a series called Florida Man (we hope that's what we think it is) with Steven Soderbergh. Waldon will serve as the creator of the Loki series, both writing the pilot and executive producing the show.

Intriguingly, THR also has the first details on the show's plot:

"The character apparently met his demise in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, even before the census altering dematerialization of half the universe, but Marvel may have found a run around that little impediment. Sources say the show will follow Loki as the trickster and shapeshifter pops up throughout human history as unlikely influencer on historical events."

So...it's like Forrest Gump or Quantum Leap, only with Loki? That's an angle we can get behind. That sounds fun! One has to wonder, though: will Loki's meddlings serve the power of good or the forces of evil? For instance, will this be a show where Loki shows up in the year 2015, whispering in a failed real estate mogul's ear about how he oughtta run for president? Or will this be a show where Loki shows up in the year 2008 and convinces Steven Spielberg not to make a fourth Indiana Jones movie? We're guessing it'll be something of a mix, with a strong emphasis on the "trickster" nature of Loki's character.
