Emma Stone And Ralph Fiennes Likely For Alexander Payne Horror-Comedy THE MENU

Sorry, everybody. Wampler’s not here today, which means this will be an Alexander Payne news item that does NOT trash Downsizing. It is a very okay movie that deserves neither praise nor disdain!

Now that that’s out of the way, Alexander Payne has a new one ready to go called The Menu, which is being described as a funny horror thriller-type film. The premise sees a young couple travel to some remote island to eat from a very special chef’s very special restaurant where dishes are created with surprise ingredients. Is it people? Is he serving people? C’mon, he’s serving people, right?

Whether or not that sounds like something you’d like to watch, they are currently casting the film so deal with it. According to Collider, Emma Stone may take one of the young couple roles, while Ralph Fiennes is being looked at to play the evil chef.

And all I have to say about that is, yeah sure. Go for it. You got my permission. Both Stone and Fiennes are great, particularly when it comes to wry comedy, and I have no objections to this. Good luck, Alexander Payne!
