AVENGERS: ENDGAME Is Coming Back To Theaters With New Footage

Hahaha, what? You thought we were done with Avengers: Endgame? Oh, sir. Oh, ma'am. We will never be done with Avengers: Endgame. Only Avengers: Endgame (and the good folks at the Disney corporation) can decide when we are done with Avengers: Endgame, and as of this moment that day is still somewhere far in out future. 

The latest update: Disney and Marvel will apparently bring the Russo Brothers' blockbuster epic back to theaters with "a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises." The news comes to us from Screen Rant, who confirmed the move with Kevin Feige directly at the Spider-Man: Far From Home press junket. Asked about the potential for an "extended cut" of the film, Feige says:

"Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend."

It probably goes without saying that this decision has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Avengers: Endgame is now within spitting distance of Avatar's all-timer box office record ($2.78B worldwide to Endgame's $2.74B worldwide take). Oh, you might've thought that, you cynical rube, but let me disabuse you of that notion right now. Please do not bring it up again.

Would you see Endgame in theaters again for "a delete scene, a little tribute and a few surprises"? I caught Endgame three times in theaters, and that third viewing left me all set on Endgame viewings for at least another year. I'm certainly curious what Marvel might be attaching to the film, but I'm also willing to just hang back and catch all of that on the eventual Blu-ray release. Your mileage may vary.
