The TEEN TITANS Are About To Fight Each Other

Reboots and remakes have a purpose. Retellings are a great way to bring new fans into a story, but judging those new retellings can border on gatekeeping if one isn’t careful. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s all just acknowledge that the original Cartoon Network Teen Titans show is infinitely superior to Teen Titans GO!. It isn’t even a competition.

While the new iteration of the Titans still utilizes the original voice-actors, and has a successful film under their belts, there’s really very little comparison to the solid storytelling and balance between their heavy and comedic arcs. Because of this, I’m hanging up my typical bias against versus movies and am delighted to share that IGN’s just reported there will be a new animated feature film featuring both teams.

There’s currently no release date, and it looks like the epic battle we’ve all been waiting for will head straight to Blu-ray, but it’s still exciting to know that the original Titans haven’t had their last hurrah just yet.
