The History Of Spider-Man On Film

And they say that a hero can save us...

Alamo Drafthouse’s video department is always hard at work on premium pre-show content for those who like to get comfy and order a little food before the credits start. With Spider-Man: Far From Home just around the corner, the team’s once again built out some premium through-the-ages content.

Check out the history of Spidey’s adventures on screen!

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, has had three separate reboots in one century! That song doesn’t really work, but I’m trying to distract you from the fact that John Smith got Nickelback stuck in your head. I have, unfortunately, been unable to save myself from said terrible fate.

So, Spidey’s seen a lot of mileage since the 2000’s. Several entries have been exceptional, with Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse blowing everyone’s expectations of superhero films as a whole directly out of the water, Spider-Man 2’s iconic train scene, and a wealth of other exciting moments across the three separate series. There have been some downs, too. But I think we’ve all just collectively decided to ignore Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Spider-Man's been swinging through film since 1966 to varying levels of success. But, no matter what the future holds for the web-slinger(s), let's all just pray we never have to see Uncle Ben die again.
