The KNIVES OUT Trailer Is The Best Thing You’ll See Today

It's been too long since we had a good Whodunit, hasn't it?

Back in April, while attending CinemaCon in Las Vegas, I caught the first trailer for Rian Johnson's Knives Out...and promptly lost my mind about the whole thing. A darkly comic murder mystery? Starring Michael Shannon and Jamie Lee Curtis and Daniel Craig and Chris Evans and Lakeith Stanfield and Toni Collette? Written and directed by Looper's Rian Johnson? That's gonna be an "absolutely fuck yeah" from me, dawg.

I've longed to see the Knives Out trailer again ever since CinemaCon, and today I am thrilled to announce that the wait is finally over: the Knives Out trailer has arrived.

Enjoy.

So, first thing's first: this isn't exactly the same trailer we saw at CinemaCon - that version used a "Live and Let Die" needle drop to excellent effect, and may have been expanded just a smidge (don't quote me on that) - but that's fine: this trailer does a fine job of communicating everything we need to know: Knives Out is a twisty murder mystery set in and around a family estate where someone's turned up dead, and southern-fried detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is on the case. The dialogue here's reminiscent of past Johnson films, the cinematography looks lush, the cast appears to be having a goddamn ball. What more do you need?

What do y'all think, though? Feeling this as much as we are? Sound off in the comments below, and do stay tuned for further updates on Knives Out as they roll in.

Rian Johnson's Knives Out hits theaters on November 27th. See it with your dysfunctional family.
