EXCLUSIVE: Get Possessed By This New LUZ Poster

Luz wasn't just one of our favorite films at Fantastic Fest 2018 – it was also a clear fave at last year's Fantasia. We can't wait for you guys to have your faces melted by Tilman Singer's directorial debut, which opens in New York and L.A. on July 19 before expanding nationwide. As such, we're stoked to debut an exclusive (and very rad) new poster to help prepare you for what is certainly one of the best genre films of 2019: 

Luz was shot entirely on 16mm (for all you film nerds), and left such an impression on our critics that we reviewed it twice – once out of Fantastic Fest 2018, where Russ Fischer called it a "striking, impressive debut," and again out of Fantasia, where Andrew Todd praised it as a "hypnotic 16mm head-trip" worthy of comparisons to the work of Andrzej Żuławski (of Possession fame). Given Singer's attention to detail and the film's vintage aesthetic, this is one you're going to want to see on a big screen if you have the chance. Here's the official synopsis for Luz: 

LUZ begins as a young female cabdriver (Luana Velis, in the title role) drags herself into a run-down police station. However, a demonic entity follows her there, determined to finally be close to the woman it loves.

Shooting entirely on 16mm, first time feature film director Tilman Singer pays homage to horror masters David Cronenberg, Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci, while infusing the genre with a fresh take of his own.
