HILL HOUSE Star Oliver Jackson-Cohen Is Your New INVISIBLE MAN

Despite early rumors which suggested that Elisabeth Moss would be playing the title role-ish in Universal and Blumhouse's The Invisible Man (would've been pretty dope, TBH), it seems that the studios are sticking to the Man part of that equation: Deadline reports that Oliver Jackson-Cohen, star of Mike Flanagan's The Haunting of Hill House, has signed on to play the lead role in the forthcoming reboot from writer/director Leigh Whannell. Jackson-Cohen is a definite upgrade from the collection of fashion accessories formerly known as Johnny Depp, who was previously attached to the role when Universal was still plotting their ambitious "Dark Universe" franchise (RIP). In addition to Hill House, in which he played Luke Crain (aka extremely handsome junkie brother), Jackson-Cohen's credits include Mr. Selfridge and Going the Distance. 

The Invisible Man will begin production this month in Australia with a pretty excellent cast that includes Elisabeth Moss, Storm Reid, Aldis Hodge, and Harriet Dyer. For those curious about what Whannell might bring to the table, I highly suggest giving Upgrade a spin.
