3 FROM HELL Trailer Brings The Firefly Clan Back From The Dead
As promised, Rob Zombie has unleashed the full trailer for 3 From Hell, the upcoming conclusion to the trilogy that began with House of 1000 Corpses and continued with the sublimely grimy The Devil's Rejects. Given how perfectly that film ended, continuing the story seems kind of... odd. Take a gander for yourself:
3 From Hell picks up after the conclusion of The Devil's Rejects, as Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis (Bill Moseley), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) have undergone a "satanic recovery" (it's certainly not miraculous) after driving into a wall of gunfire. The surviving Firefly family members are imprisoned, spawning some sort of wacky "Free the Three" movement. It's not long before Baby and Otis successfully escape and recruit a demented new follower named Foxy, played by Richard Brake. I'm certainly curious about 3 From Hell and how Zombie continues the deep fried Manson Family tone and aesthetic, but I'm also very skeptical – the Firefly clan's nihilistic violence may read as exceptionally senseless in 2019.
3 From Hell also stars Danny Trejo, Clint Howard, Richard Riehle, Dot-Marie Jones, Dee Wallace, and Tom Papa, and is hitting select theaters the weekend of September 16 for a special three-day event.
