KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON May Feature Scorsese’s Two Besties

So, here's an interesting update on Martin Scorsese's long-gestating Killers of The Flower Moon: according to Deadline, Robert De Niro is now in talks to join the cast, which (as previously reported) already includes Scorsese's other bestie, Leonardo DiCaprio. This would be the third time De Niro and DiCaprio have starred in a film together, following 1993's This Boy's Life and 1996's Marvin's Room.

For those unfamiliar with the project, Killers of The Flower Moon is based on a book by the same name by David Grann, and is described thusly:

"The book is a murder mystery, set in 1920s Oklahoma, where the Osage Indians were granted revenue rights to oil discovered under their lands that was harvested by oil companies. Suddenly, they began to get murdered as did those trying to investigate. It came down to the newly created Bureau of Investigation, to overcome the corrupting influences from oil money and politics to solve the murder mystery, one that would bring the FBI to prominence."

As you know, Scorsese's next film, The Irishman (which contains plenty of De Niro but zero DiCaprio), will premiere later this year at the New York Film Festival, before enjoying a theatrical rollout of some sort before landing on Netflix. Killers of The Flower Moon's being made with Paramount, so you don't have to worry about not catching this one in a theater.
