Get Infected By The First Trailer For Bong Joon-Ho’s PARASITE

The director of THE HOST and SNOWPIERCER is back with another typically excellent-looking thriller.

Disclosure: Tim League, founder and CEO of Birth.Movies.Death.’s parent company Alamo Drafthouse, is a co-founder of NEON.

With some filmmakers, each new release is a reason to celebrate. I'm talking about your Quentin Tarantinos, your Steven Spielbergs, your Martin Scorseses. Y'know who else is on this list? Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho, who's spent the last decade churning out one killer movie after another: Mother, The Host, Snowpiercer, Okja. Each one of these films is absolutely worthy of your time, and there's zero reason to doubt his next feature, this October's Parasite, will be any different.

I mean, just look at this.

So it's something of a thriller, and maybe something of a cautionary tale about class systems? Yeah, we're all in for this. In typical Joon-ho fashion, Parasite looks luxurious and somewhat ominous, shot through with the writer/director's trademark weirdo sense of humor. This is all very much up our alley.

Oh, while I've got your eyeballs: here's the film's first poster:

Parasite earned rave reviews out of this year's Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palme D'or, and is currently sitting at a knockout 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. We are very hyped to see it, and will be there when it hits theaters on October 11th. How 'bout y'all? Sound off in the comments below, and do let us know what you're preferred Bong Joon-ho movie is while you're down there (mine's Snowpiercer, which I realize is not the sexiest answer but I have to live my truth).
