Any new Guillmero del Toro-produced genre project is worth paying attention to, but that goes doubly for Antlers, an upcoming horror film which has Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Out of the Furnace) directing, a legitimately awesome cast (including Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Graham Greene and Amy Madigan), and a screenplay co-written by Channel Zero showrunner Nick Antosca.
Today we're getting our first look at Cooper's film, via the just-released trailer below:
This looks pretty cool! A bit reminiscent of a few other horror movies we've seen, perhaps, but again: with this creative team in place, there's reason to believe they've got something special on their hands. Plus, what's here looks chilly, effectively-shot and appropriately spooky (it also looks very dark, in the literal sense). This is absolutely something we'll make time for.

Right now, Antlers doesn't have a release date - the press release we received says it'll be along sometime in 2020 - but here's hoping we don't have to wait too long for it.
