Sounds Like The FLASH Movie Is Really Gonna Happen This Time

Warner Bros. has been promising to make a Flash movie for a long time now, one which would bring back Ezra Miller as the fastest man alive. The project's changed hands a number of times, so frequently that some folks started getting the impression that it might remain in development hell forever. Well, it appears that it's finally going forward, and with its most recently-announced director at the helm, to boot.

In a new interview with Fandango, It Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti confirms that the Flash movie will be his next project (among the several he's signed on for), and says the following when asked if the film will contain any of the horror elements Muschietti's become known for (yeah, it's a weird question):

“An element of horror? I don’t think so. What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it. The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”

This is great news for Flash fans, but particularly great news for Ezra Miller, who's been out in the streets beating a drum for this project ever since he signed on to play the character in 2017's Justice League. Good for him!
