Vince Vaughn To Switch Bodies With Teenage Girl For Blumhouse

OK, then.

Well, here's something I didn't expect to be reporting today: Vince Vaughn has signed on to an as-yet-untitled body-swapping horror-comedy from Chris Landon, the director of Happy Death Day. The film will find Vaughn playing a serial killer who finds his consciousness transported into the body of a teenage girl (to be played by Big Little Lies' Kathryn Newton), who has just 24 hours to reverse the swap before it becomes permanent.

The news comes to us from Deadline, who also report that the project is being shepherded to screens by the good folks at Blumhouse. As of this writing, there's no word on when the film might begin shooting, much less when it might arrive, but rest assured that we're immediately invested in this one and very eager to see how it all turns out. I mean, are you gonna sit there telling lies about how you don't want to see this? We're sure as hell not.

As wild and silly as the premise is, it's worth remembering that Landon's Happy Death Day is a helluva good time, and pulled off a premise a whole bunch of us were skeptical towards when we first heard about it. Sequel's good, too. You should watch those while you're waiting for updates on this one.
