Check Out This Exclusive Poster For DEMENTER

Oooh, witchy!

Cults, man. They’ll getcha when you least expect it, and if you do somehow manage to escape the manipulation, there’s always the looming fear of whether or not you’re ever really free. Are they coming for you? Are they coming for the ones you care for? There’s always that underlying fear and uncertainty. All of those questions bring us to Dementer.

The film focuses on a cult-escapee, Katie, and her quest for a normal life after surviving a nightmare. In an attempt to do some good, Katie takes a job at a center for special needs adults. It’s not long before Katie forms a bond with Stephanie, an adult Down Syndrome patient. “The Devils” catch up to her shortly thereafter.

We don’t want to give too much away. But we do want to show you the film’s gorgeous poster!

Dementer is written and directed by Chad Crawford Kinkle, in honor of his sister Stephanie (who also stars in the project). Kinkle wanted to both embrace and represent the developmentally disabled, a group that remains largely unseen on the big screen. If you’re in the area, you can see the film’s world premiere at the  Nashville Film Festival.
