This New DANIEL ISN’T REAL Trailer May Be All In Your Head

You don't know. We don't know. Nobody knows.

If it seems like we've been hearing about Adam Egypt Mortimer's Daniel Isn't Real for months now, it's because we have: our own Marisa Mirabal caught this film back in March, at this year's SXSW Film Festival, and put it on all of our radar (radars? radii?) with a glowing review that left us very, very eager to see the film. We've been dying to see it ever since.

The good news is, the wait is almost over: Daniel Isn't Real will hit select theaters and On Demand at the beginning of December, and we'll all finally get to find out if this one lives up to the hype. What's it about? I'm glad you asked - here's an official plot synopsis:

"Troubled college freshman Luke (Miles Robbins) suffers a violent family trauma and resurrects his childhood imaginary friend Daniel (Patrick Schwarzenegger) to help him cope. Charismatic and full of manic energy, Daniel helps Luke to achieve his dreams, before pushing him to the very edge of sanity and into a desperate struggle for control of his mind -- and his soul."

But, wait: there's more good news - tonight also brings a brand-new trailer for the film, and it's a good 'un. See for yourselves below:

Yes, this looks very much like a Birth.Movies.Death. movie. Our hype levels have reached critical mass, we need no further marketing, just bring on December 6th so we can see this thing for ourselves.

How 'bout y'all? Hyped for this one? Not so much? Curious to see what Patrick Schwarzenegger does with that role? Sound off in the comments below, and do stay tuned for more on Daniel Isn't Real as further updates become available.
