Behold, The Final STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Trailer

Only about two months away now.

I'll just get out of this trailer's way, I know why you're here...

So, there it is. The final trailer for JJ Abrams' Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It looks like another fun Star Wars movie, and (aesthetically-speaking) appears to be right in line with the last two films in the Skywalker saga. I suppose we could comb through this thing frame by frame, looking for hints as to how Abrams and company are planning to wrap this saga up, but come on: I've been doing this long enough to know that JJ Abrams ain't revealing anything JJ Abrams doesn't want revealed, not this close to the end. Anything eyebrow-raising we might spot in this trailer is very likely a red herring. That doesn't mean you aren't free to recklessly speculate in the comments below, though, and we do encourage you to do so.

Two things I'd like to add here. One, it's pretty wild to be at the tail end of this thing, isn't it? I mean, I know we're gonna be getting new, non-Skywalker Saga Star Wars movies until the heat death of the universe, but to be here - at the end of the Episode VII, VIII and IX run - feels kind of interesting. Seems like only yesterday that we were announcing this new trilogy (At the time, I distinctly remember thinking, "Jesus, we're gonna be covering this thing for the next five years!"), and now here we are, mere weeks away from putting all this Skywalker family drama to bed once and for all. Been quite the ride.

The other thing I'd like to point out: the Star Wars: Rise of The Skywalker issue of Birth.Movies.Death. Magazine (the final issue of BMD Magazine for 2019, don'tcha know) is on sale now, and can be picked up via this link. You definitely want one of these: it's got a killer Oliver Barrett cover, exclusive interviews, and a handful of bonkers Star Wars-related articles you won't find anywhere else. We pulled out all the stops for this one and think you'll approve. Oh, and also, if you're gonna see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, see it at an Alamo Drafthouse

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20th.
