BIRTH.VIDEO.DEATH.: A Brief History Of TERMINATOR Rip-Offs

Y'know, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

With Terminator: Dark Fate arriving in theaters this weekend, we've got Terminators on the brain.

Of course you've got the classic Terminator - Arnold Schwarzenegger rocking a leather jacket over a metal skeleton - but then you've got liquid-metal Terminators, that new Terminator who's made of a different kind of metal, those snake-like Terminators from Terminator: Salvation, and more. And this isn't even taking into account the faux Terminators.

Yes, faux Terminators. Since the release of the original Terminator in 1984, there's been no shortage of rip-off Terminators over the years, and we decided that now was as good a time as any to take a look back at some of our favorites (including 1988's Lady Terminator, from Indonesia, which really must be seen to be believed).

See what we've come up with in the video below (featuring our pal Joe Ziemba, director of the AGFA), and stay tuned for more on Terminator: Dark Fate as further updates become available!
