ANT-MAN 3 Will Be Directed By Peyton Reed
The MCU's Phase 4 just added another film to its intriguing slate: THR reports that Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed will return to direct Ant-Man 3. The sequel was not previously included in Marvel's official Phase 4 announcement, which boasts titles like the long-awaited Black Widow solo film and Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder (guitar wail). At this stage there aren't any details beyond the sequel's development and Reed's return, but THR notes that Marvel is looking to begin production sometime in 2020 or 2021 for a potential 2022 release (do you feel ancient yet).
Ant-Man 3 is one of four sequels that will be a part of Marvel's Phase 4 slate, along with the Thor sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the untitled Spider-Man sequel – the last three of which arrive in 2021. Phase 4 kicks off with Black Widow on May 1, 2020, followed by The Eternals on November 6, and Shang-Chi and the Lenged of the Ten Rings (man they really like their titles in this phase) on February 12, 2021.
