Ridley Scott And Lady Gaga Are Making A Movie Together

It's about fashion! And MURDER!

Today in Movie News MadLibs, Deadline reports that Lady Gaga is set to star in a true crime drama about the Gucci family from director Ridley Scott, of all people. Scott reportedly hopes to begin production on the untitled film immediately after he completes The Last Duel, starring Matt Damon, Jodie Comer, and Adam Driver. The Gucci film is based on the non-fiction book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden, and centers on the murder of Maurizio Gucci, grandson of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci (extremely Eighth Grade voice – GUCCI!). Maurizio was gunned down on the steps of his grandfather's office in 1995.

Gaga will play the role of Gucci's ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani, a wealthy Italian socialite and figure in the 1980s fashion community. Patrizia was accused and convicted of hiring a hitman and arranging the murder of Maurizio, who had left her for another woman. The two children Patrizia shared with Maurizio blamed their mother's actions on a brain tumor she'd had removed – basically, this movie has everything. A new Ridley Scott movie about murder in the fashion world starring Lady Gaga, who was quite good, actually in A Star Is Born? Don't think we'll be needing much more convincing here, folks.
