Ben Affleck Will Headline Robert Rodriguez’s HYPNOTIC

According to Variety, Robert Rodriguez (Alita: Battle Angel) and Ben Affleck (Justice League) are teaming up for a brand-new action/mystery/thriller type-deal by the name of Hypnotic. The film - which will presumably be filmed here in Austin, at Rodriguez's famed Troublemaker Studios - is just one of several projects on Affleck's plate, including The Last Duel, with Ridley Scott.

Here's how they're describing it:

"Affleck will play a detective who becomes entangled in a mystery involving his missing daughter and a secret government program, while investigating a string of impossible high-end heists."

That all sounds pretty standard until you get to the "impossible high-end heists" part, which makes us wonder if there isn't more to this one that meets the eye. Maybe there's a science fiction angle here. Maybe magicians are involved. We simply don't know at this time, but rest assured we'll keep our ear to the ground for further updates.
