John Boyega Will Headline Jeremy Saulnier’s REBEL RIDGE

Here's some good news: John Boyega, soon to be seen in next month's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, has just signed on to headline Rebel Ridge, the next feature film from Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier. And according to Variety, Rebel Ridge will be somewhat similar to that 2013 masterpiece:

"Similarly to Saulnier’s 2013 crime drama Green Room, his upcoming movie will be a high-velocity thriller that explores systemic American injustices through bone-breaking action sequences, suspense and dark humor."

This one's gonna be another Netflix original, following in the wake of Saulnier's previous Netflix feature, Hold The Dark, and...well, that's really about all we know at this point! Based on the title and the description above, there's really no telling what Rebel Ridge might be about, but we know we'll be there to see it the moment it's available. I mean, come on - Boyega and Saulnier (and, yes, presumably Macon Blair) doing bone-breaking suspense together? And it'll be darkly funny? What more could you want?
