Y’all Wanna See Some FIELD GUIDE TO EVIL Posters From Greece?

You really would not believe the sheer number of strange things that hit the BMD inbox every day. By and large, these oddities are not worth sharing - elaborate infographics concerning the various kinds of vacation homes you see in horror movies, press releases concerning unknown actors who just happen to look like Bruce Willis (no, seriously), all kinds of shit - but this morning I woke up to an email filled with a hyper-specific sort of weirdness that I cannot help but share with you, the gentle BMD readers of the world.
What you're about to see are alternative posters designs for the 2018 horror anthology The Field Guide to Evil, created by Yannis Veslemes (who directed one of the segments in the film) and a friend, quite literally on a whim. Turns out a distributor over in Greece took a shine to the pair's weirdo paintings, and used the artwork as the basis for a whole line of actual movie posters. They're not quite the same thing as the alternative movie posters you sometimes see coming out of Ghana, but they're certainly in the same ballpark.
Take a look.
Pretty neat, right?
If you are so inclined, The Field Guide to Evil, featuring segments directed by Peter Strickland (In Fabric), Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (The Lodge), Katrin Gebbe (Nothing Bad Can Happen), Yannis Veslemes (Norway), Ashim Ahluwalia (Miss Lovely), Agnieszka Smoczynska (The Lure), Can Evrenol (Baskin) and Calvin Reeder (The Rambler) is available to rent now via Amazon Prime.
