Shhhh: The First Trailer For A QUIET PLACE: PART II Has Arrived
Back in 2018, John Krasinski's A Quiet Place came more or less outta nowhere and knocked everyone on their ass. Tightly-plotted, inventively shot and blessed with a narrative gimmick I'm not sure I'd ever seen in a horror movie before, A Quiet Place was a breath of fresh air, and was rewarded for its freshness with a massive $340M at the worldwide box office on the back of a ~$20M production budget.
Obviously, a sequel was inevitable.
This, as you can see, is the first teaser for Krasinski's A Quiet Place: Part II. It's barely a teaser, if we're being honest - Paramount's calling it an "announcement piece" - but it does what it needs to do: it reminds you that A Quiet Place: Part II is headed to theaters, gives you a quick refresher on who survived the first film, and it re-establishes the One Big Rule of the Quiet Place world. We imagine the next trailer will be a bit more forthcoming with the details.
In the meantime, here's an official plot synopsis:
"Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path."
A Quiet Place: Part II hits theaters on March 20th. You as hyped about it as we are? Sound off in the comments below, and stay tuned for further updates as they roll in.
