Christian Bale Might Be Stepping Into THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER

Christian Bale is in talks to join Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder. This news comes to us courtesy of Collider, but with no details of who (or what) Bale might be playing.

Obviously, if you're entertained by the DC-Marvel rivalry, this is a coup for Marvel. How could they snag the most box-office successful Batman for their Kiwi-flavored Shakespeare-in-Space romp? Where's the referee?

Even though Christian Bale has expressed his disinterest in donning a cape again ever since the The Dark Knight trilogy wrapped up almost a decade ago, it's easy to see why he'd join a project like this one. Taika Waititi has proven to be one of the most interesting and eclectic voices in the studio system, so a thespian like Bale is probably champing at the bit to work with him.

As for who he could be playing, I have no clue, but I'd love it if he was Korg's brother or something. With the gravelly Batman voice, please.
