Please Enjoy A Chilly, Terrifying New Trailer For THE LODGE

Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala's GOODNIGHT MOMMY follow-up is almost here!

Disclosure: Tim League, founder and CEO of BMD’s parent company Alamo Drafthouse, is a co-founder of NEON.

Lemme ask you this: you like spooky kid movies? How about horror films that unfold mostly within a single location? Do you enjoy it when horror films are set in the winter, with great billowing clouds of snow everywhere? Do you like it when scary movies toy with the idea of reality itself? Did you enjoy Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala's previous film, Goodnight Mommy (2014)?

If your answer to any of these questions is "Yes", then The Lodge may be right for you.

This is the latest trailer for Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala's The Lodge, which begins rolling into theaters on February 7th. This one is really a case of "What you see is what you get": The Lodge is a chilly, super atmospheric, slow-burn horror exercise constructed around a showstopper performance from Riley Keough, featuring a pair of truly effective turns by IT's Jaeden Martell and relative newcomer Lia McHugh. The thing positively drips with dread, and we think the BMD crowd will be particularly fond of it, especially if you were a fan of Goodnight Mommy.

Oh, look, they've got a new poster, too:

Like it says above, The Lodge begins hitting theaters on February 7th. Stay tuned for more on this one as we get closer to the film's release (and do check out Goodnight Mommy if you haven't already, that one whips).
